Why book with Good Vibes Surf Club for your next surf retreat?

We offer private, 1 on 1 coaching sessions with ISA-certified local instructors who have 20+ years of teaching experience in the area.

We also provide hand-picked local stays to ensure practicality, comfort, and rejuvenation.

How to book your Surf Retreat with us?

Simply message us through Instagram DM, Whatsapp, our website contact form, or email weare@goodvibessurfclub.com.

Provide us with your travel dates, number of guests on the trip, your choice of accommodation that we provide, and any questions you may have.

Once we check our availability we will get back to you within 12 hours to confirm the dates and offer.

What's included in the Surf Retreat package price?

Your surf package includes daily breakfast, guided surf lessons, daily coaching sessions, board rental, mid-week video analysis, and video content. You’ll also enjoy daily housekeeping and complimentary WiFi. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and hot water showers. Plus, we offer parking, a swimming pool, and airport pick-up for your convenience!

What is not included in the Surf Retreat package price?

Flights, travel insurance, meals, drinks, and personal expenses are not included.

We also offer optional activities and excursions to complement your surf package. You can add yoga sessions, in-house massages, Bali sightseeing trips, scooter rental or transportation, all of which we can arrange for you.

How do I pay the Surf Retreat package?

We accept a variety of payment options in different currencies (eg., international bank transferal, WISE transfer, Creditcard; additional 5% charge, AliPay, HK Payme or FPS)

The Surf Retreat packages on the website is for 6 days and 5 nights, but I would like to stay shorter or longer. Is that possible?

Yes, absolutely! Just let us know your arrival date and how long you'd like to stay, and we'll create a customized offer and special pricing tailored just for you!

Should I have insurance?

Yes! We highly reccommend getting international travel and health insurance before coming.

One of our biggest priorities at Good Vibes Surf Club is safety. However, we do not provide insurance for you.

Having your own coverage ensures that you can recieve the best care in the case of unexpected incidents.

What makes Good Vibes Surf Club sustainable?

I am travelling alone, do I share acommodation and surf lessons with others?

You'll enjoy your own private room and your own private, 1 on 1 surf lessons, unless otherwise requested.

We want to give you a unique and personalised experience, whilst also providing a community of surfers who are ready to welcome you when you are ready!

Is breakage of surfboard included in the price?

No, damage or loss of surf equipment is not covered in the price.
We rent the boards from the local surf shack and they have their own damage costs which varies from IDR 50K for a ding or lost fin to IDR 2 million for a broken board.

Kedungu offers mellow waves that are perfect for beginners and intermediates. It’s Bali at it’s best: slower, softer, and more soul-filling.

Can we arrange the airport pick up and other transport?

No matter the time or day, we can organise transfers for you and your travel group to and from the airport.

For scooter rentals, tell us when and we can have them dropped off right on your doorstep!

Furthermore, we can organise cars and private drivers for day trips, island tours, or just general transport around the area of Kedungu, and wider Bali.

Utilising applications such as Gojek and Grab is also extremely convenient for travel around the Bali towns. They’re also great for ordering-in food if you’re craving a meal at home!

Is scooter rental included?

No, scooter rental is not included in the price. But we can help you rent one while you’re here!

How to book spa dates and massages?

We can help you book spa appointments and massages in the Kedungu area, just let us know!

Plus, we offer exclusive Good Vibes customer discounts at selected spas!

Are there shops & restaurants nearby?

There are plenty of local eateries in Kedungu and by the beach. As an emerging surf town, there are a handful of cafes and restaurants in the area. We offer exclusive discounts for our Good Vibes guests at local Kedungu businesses, including restaurants and spas!

Otherwise, a 30 minute drive away is the lively town of Canggu where you can find a larger variety of dining options, beach bars, and shopping.


FAQ - Surfing

What is special about the waves in Kedungu?

The waves in Kedungu are known for being smooth and playful. It is a perfect set up for beginners and intermediates looking to level up with confidence.

Unlike the popular surf spots in Bali such as Canggu, Kuta, or Uluwatu, the lineups in Kedungu are way more chill. This means more waves for you and less pressure in the line up.

The breaks are easily accessible, safe, and user-friendly. Furthermore, the surf community in Kedungu is welcoming, supportive, and full of good vibes. You’re never just another surfer in the crowd. With us, you’re part of the crew.

Are the surfing levels suitable for beginners?

Yes! We have all levels of surfers come through here, from their very first time on a surfboard to improvers surfers. We can help you work on more advanced techniques and goals too.

What equipment will be provided?

For your surf sessions we will provide you with a surfboard, long sleeve rash guard, as well as high SPF sunscreen and zinc oxide.

All you need to bring is your swimwear and a beach towel to dry off afterwards!

When is the best time to surf and travel in Bali?

The best time to surf in Kedungu is between the dry season months of May to September. This time of year sees the cleanest surf conditions and the sunniest days.

Where do we surf and how are the surf lessons organized?

We generally surf at our home beach, Kedungu Beach. However, we also occasionally venture to nearby breaks such as Tanah Lot and Yeh Gangga.

Our local instructors will choose the best break for you based on conditions and your skill level in order to ensure you're always comfortable in the water.

The tides and conditions will determine the timing of surf sessions and we will always reconfirm schedules with you a day before.

I am not a good swimmer, can I still surf?

Absolutely! You don't need to be a strong swimmer to enjoy surfing with us. Our experienced instructors are always close by, guiding you and making sure you're safe at all times. We’ll start in shallow waters and focus on building your confidence, so you can relax and enjoy the waves. Safety is our top priority, and we've helped many beginner swimmers fall in love with surfing!

What is the water temperature like?

We have tropical waters all year-round ranging between 25-30 degrees celsius.

If you get chilly easily, a rash guard is also recommended (and provided). This is also a good option for sunburn protection.

Is it safe to go surfing with kids?

Absolutely, our experienced ISA certified surf instructors are kids specialists! Surfing is for all ages. Our kids surf lessons are a safe way to introduce your child to the world of surfing. To provide full safety each child will be taught in a one-on-one lesson and receive private surf instructor.

The most important requirement is, that your child can swim and is comfortable in the water. Your surf guide will decide together with you as a parent and your child, if he/she will surf on an individual surfboard or will do tandem surfing together with the surf guide.

What if the waves or weather are bad on a day?

If the conditions and waves in Kedungu do not match your skill level, we will try to find nearby breaks that will.

In the unlikely case that conditions are extremely poor (heavy storms or flat days) and we have to cancel a surf session, we unfortunately cannot provide a refund. But don't worry, there are other fun activities to enjoy in Bali and we will help you find them!

Weather is a big part of the surfing experience and here at Good Vibes Surf Club, we embrace that! ;)

Can I book more private surf sessions?

Of course you can! Daily surf sessions are included in your surf & stay package, but if you wish to surf more, we offer extra sessions for an additional fee. Please contact us for the prices and availability!

What if some of our group doesn't surf?

We offer a non-surfer package so you can stay with your crew, enjoy the acommodation, meals, and activities, minus the surf sessions. This is perfect for chill-seekers, beach walkers, temple enthusiasts, or poolside book readers.

The surrounding area of Kedungu also offers great local food, cultural tours, beautiful beaches, and waterfalls - all of which we can help organise transport for.
